PHS-1701 portable pH meter is a digital display PH meter, with LCD digital display, which can display PH and temperature values simultaneously. The instrument applies to the labs in junior college institutions, research institutes, environmental monitoring, industrial and mining enterprises and other departments or field sampling to determine the aqueous solutions' PH values and potential (mV) values. What‘s pH? PH is a measure of the hydrogen ion activity in a solution. Pure water that contains an equal balance of positive hydrogen ions (H +) and negativehydroxide ions (OH -) has a neutral pH. ● Solutions with a higher concentration of hydrogen ions (H +) than pure water are acidic and have a pH less than 7. ● Solutions with a higher concentration of hydroxide ions (OH -) than water are basic (alkaline) and have a pH greater than 7.   Why monitor the pH of water?
